The planning of a new community, or shaping the expansion of a current community, takes into consideration such factors as environmental conditions (e.g., health and safety), social requirements (e.g., identity, activities, and security) and other factors (e.g., design, resources, policy, and convenience), of the people who will live there. Beyond these fundamentals, implementing the change associated with community planning development requires attention to the program and project management skills of each participant on the project team on behalf of your agency.
